ODAC Hosts Youth Advocacy Month Fireside Chats
New York, NY (5/10/21)- Organ Donation Awareness Corporation will be hosting fireside chats throughout May as a part of Youth Advocacy Month. Every Friday a new chat will be available for viewing via our Youtube channel ODAC TV.
The fireside chats will feature a number of guest speakers whose strive for change highlights the importance of advocacy. Our first fireside chat was held with Micahel Kutcher, an advocate for cerebral palsy and organ donation. Michael shared that his path in advocacy started with an interest and devotion to help people. That discussion is currently available on Youtube.
On May 14th a fireside chat will feature Dr. Bhargav Mistry, a practicing transplant surgeon with over 20 years of experience. This chat will also feature Karishma Mistry a current medical student and liver transplant recipient. The conversation will cover their experiences in the medical field and advocacy work. On May 21st is a fireside chat with filmmaker and musician Billy Maker who advocates for lyme disease awareness. The final fireside chat of Youth Advocacy Month will be held with Chris Klug on May 28. Chris Klug is an Olympian and founder of the Chris Klug Foundation. He will be discussing his experiences and path to organ donation awareness.
All fireside chats are created to encourage young people to take a stand for what they believe in and get involved in Youth Advocacy Month by highlighting prominent leaders in the advocacy space. For more information please visit https://www.odacny.org/ or follow us on social media.
