ODAC Hosts Donuts for Donation Tabling Event

New York, NY (1/2/23) – Organ Donation Awareness Corporation hosted a tabling event on January 2nd, 2023 in New York City where current organ donors and new donors who just signed up were given a donut. This event took place in Manhattan on the Upper West Side in Verdi Square earlier this month from 5pm to 7pm. 

The goal for this event was to spread awareness of how volunteering to be an organ donor can do more good than harm and to advocate for the cause we stand by. This event allowed us to discuss the cause one-on-one with individuals of a wide range of backgrounds in an effort to disprove any myths about organ donation. This discussion proved successful as 12 individuals registered as donors when they were not registered prior to the discussion. 

Organ Donation Awareness Corporation hopes to host more events like this in the metropolitan area in an effort to create a discussion that would not take place otherwise.
